hugs and bags 5What's Up San Diego? Hugs & Bags is a Hand Up program dedicated to serve Veterans, Youth and Survivors of Human Trafficking along with anyone who may be in transition or who may need resources to help until their next paycheck.

As of last year the Homeless and under-served population in San Diego was estimated at over 10,000 people.

This number does not reflect the women and children who are unaccounted for. We currently host a different location to serve as many people throughout San Diego. Hugs & Bags has grown from 1 person to a team of 10 dedicated volunteers. We have served over 1,250 within the past 6 months. For more information please contact jacquelinepenhos@yahoo.com

or visit Hugs & Bags FB page.

hugs and bags 6Hugs & Bags is a monthly event (last Saturday of every month) that gives away Hugs, Meals, Snacks, toiletries, and clothes to Youth, Veterans and women in transition.
Free event to all.
Created by Jacqueline Penhos, Founder of Art of Being You.

Hugs & Bags: One of the blessings of this event; not only does it give back, it UNITES! Thank you 2 every single person who shows PURE intent. Please know we appreciate you. Thank you to the SD Black Professionals for the meat & fruit donation. Thanks to everyone, there will be enough food for people to have breakfast, lunch & dinner! & for all volunteers to receive a snack. If you would like to contribute, we still need toiletries, water & financial contributions.
