Mission Hills High School Band Celebrates Remarkable Achievement
The Mission Hills High School Cardinal Alliance Marching Band and Color Guard has made an impressive mark in the California State Band Championship, securing a bronze medal in their inaugural full season. This achievement not only showcases the dedication and talent of the 186 student members but also shines a light on the vibrant spirit of high school music programs.

Competing on December 6 at Colony High School in Ontario, the band performed a captivating piece titled “The Avant Garden,” inspired by Igor Stravinsky’s "The Rite of Spring." With a score of 95.55, they displayed an extraordinary blend of musical artistry, marching precision, and visual creativity. Their advancement to the finals was a notable accomplishment, considering they were one of only 16 bands chosen from a pool of 66 that participated in previous rounds.
