My search for a new TV took me to 4 stores with some interesting facts about the best place to buy TV.

Walmart?
Offers a 90 day in store return policy for there TV’s. You get a one year manufacturer warranty.
If something goes wrong, the Tv must be ship back to the manufacture.
You can purchase an extended warranty for two Or three years. the cost is between $8.00 - $20.00 depending on the size of the TV.
The extended warranty starts the same time as the purchase.
Best Buy?
Has a 15 day return policy, Best Buy TV's come with a one year manufacturer warranty, if any problem comes up with the TV you have to send the TV to the manufacturer for repair
Best Buy offers an extended warranty from 2-5 years, priced between $50.00 and $500.00 depending on price and size of the TV.
Under the Best Buy extended warranty, if something goes wrong, Televisions 45 inches and smaller, you can bring to the store for service. With larger TV's you get in-home repair service which is GREAT.
The extended warranty starts the same time as the purchase.
Fry's Electronic
Has a 30 day return policy, must have the box, Fry's TV's come with a one year manufacturer warranty, If it breaks you must ship it back to the manufacture.
Fry's extended warranty is a full service protection plan. You can purchase a 1-3 year plan with a cost of from $45.00 -$299.00 depending on the size.
With Fry's protection plan, "This is Cool" they will give you a loaner TV while your TV is being serviced. For 45 inch TV and smaller, you must bring to the store for repair service, while larger TV's receive in-home repair service.
The extended warranty starts the same time as the purchase.

Here's Why!

- Costco has a call in Concierge Service for free technical support & setup help.
- Costco's extended warranty for 3 years is $29.00, you can also purchase a 4 or 5 year service plan.
- Costco's extended warranty's includes in home repair service.
- Costco's extended warranty starts after the manufacturer warranty ends.
In this day and age, to me, it is important to have a extended warranties on everything you purchase. Because it seems like something is always going wrong, either it's self-made or a manufacturer defect and in most cases the extended warranty will cover both of these problems.
So I purchased a 55 inch flat screen for $350.00 plus $29.00 for the extended warranty and I have 5 years of coverage.
