La Jolla Country Day School's Model United Nations program, known as TorreyMUN, started in 2015 and now boasts an impressive participation rate, with 110 students representing nearly 25% of the upper school population. Students like senior Steven Tao and junior Penelope Fleischer expressed their excitement about the conference and highlighted how the experience enriched their understanding of global diplomacy. Fleischer noted that organizing the conference offered her a fresh perspective on collaboration, as delegates from diverse backgrounds united to brainstorm solutions on critical issues like food safety.
