Some time ago, San Diego was in a bad way. Following World War II, the city's population was stagnant, new home building was scarce, and the downtown area was a wasteland where residents feared to tread.
Today, this beautiful coastal paradise is thriving with tens of thousands of new residents and a skyscape filled with gleaming architecture.
National Geographic Channel's documentary was an unprecedented exploration of the 8th largest U.S. city where technology, talent and innovation create a new urban environment – one that will emerge as a leading city in the 21st century.
